The United Nations is warning there are now concrete indications that famine will strike parts of Somalia next month.
The crisis is being driven by severe drought and exacerbated by COVID and inflated grain costs due to the war in Ukraine.
The UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths says it could be worse than the famine of 2010-11, when 260 thousand people died.
